The
meeting was attended by you and Linda Turkatte of PHS-EHD. The burden of the request made by
PHS-EHD in an October 27, 1995 letter to investigate the former tank pit area at the site and the
process of applying to the Caiifomia State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Cleanup Fund
Program were discussed at this meeting.
At the meeting the issue of financial resources to initiate and complete an investigation at your site
was discussed. PHS-EHD understands the financial hardship that these types of investigations impose
on property owners. Therefore, a time schedule for the implementation of an investigative scope of
work at the site will be based on the financial resources available to you.
PHS-EHD will provide you with an initial scope of work, a standard "Request for Bids" worksheet, and
a list of area consulting firms that you may contact. The response to the "Request for Bids"will
provide anticipated costs for the work being required of you.
Also at the meeting an application to the SWRCB Cleanup Fund Program was completed and you
indicated you would mail it to the SWRCB after gathering additional information and supporting
documentation.
In conclusion, the date for the submittal of a workplan for the required investigation at the site will be
agreed upon once the costs and financial resources are better understood. Please provide PHS-EHD
with copies of the responses to the "Request for Bids" so that this determination can be made.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss this letter in more detail, please contact Linda Turkatte,
Senior RENS, at (209) 468-3441.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Division
.J"
Linda A.
