' Closure Summary Report <br /> • Gemelos Property (Paladin Center) <br />' 2421 East Holly Drive <br /> Tracy, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br />' In accordance with the request of Mr John Gemelos,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared the enclosed Closure Summary Report for the site located at 2421 East Holly Dnve, Tracy, <br /> I California (the site) The scope of work included monitoring ground water conditions at the site, <br /> collection and analysis of ground water samples, and preparation of this report <br />' A quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed on 18 November 1998 The location of <br /> the site is illustrated on Figure 1 -Location Map Structures, boring and monitoring well locations <br /> are shown on Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> I <br /> 2 0. SITE HISTORY <br />' Two 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the property in April <br /> 1988 Approximately 100 to 120 cubic yards of soil were removed during the excavation Upon <br /> removal of the USTs, soil and ground water samples were collected from the excavation areas <br /> Laboratory results from the samples indicated that soil underlying the USTs was not impacted, but <br /> that hydrocarbon-impacted ground water was present at the site The analytical results for the UST <br /> removal samples are included in Table 1 <br /> On 29 June 1996, four soil borings were drilled on the site to a depth of fifteen feet bsg Boring B 1 <br /> was advanced west of the former UST dispensers and backfilled with grout to the surface A grab <br /> groundwater sample was collected from boring BI Boring 132 was advanced south of the former <br />' UST dispensers and was converted to monitoring well MW-3 Boring B3 was advanced northeast <br /> of the former UST dispensers and converted to monitoring well MW-2 Boring B4 was advanced <br /> on the northern edge of the site and completed as ground water monitoring well MW-1 <br /> IThe installation of MW-1 through MW-3 was performed using a truck-mounted CME 75-HT drill <br /> rig equipped with continuous flight, eight inch, hollow-stem augers <br /> Tan and gray, silty clay was encountered from surface grade to depths of approximately fifteen feet <br /> bsg in borings B4 (MW-1) and 133 (MW-2) Tan and gray, silty clay was encountered from surface <br /> grade to depths of six feet bsg in borings B I and 132 Gray, sandy gravel was encountered at depths <br /> between 10 and 15 feet bsg in borings B 1 and B2 <br /> TPH-g was not detected in any of the samples submitted to the laboratory for analysis However, <br /> •, ethylbenzene and xylenes were detected in a soil sample from 10 feet bsg in MW-I at concentrations <br /> of 0 005 and 0 007 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg), respectively These detections may represent <br /> Advanced GeoEnNironznentai, Inc <br />
