Subject: Groundwater Monitoring Schedule
1810 E. Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95202
On May 4, 2015, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) spoke with a
representative of your consulting firm, Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. (Condor), regarding the
groundwater sampling schedule and sample analysis at the subject site.
By EHD letter dated November 22, 2013, the EHD directed additional monitoring well sampling and
analyses to address a lack data pertaining to a former waste oil underground storage tank. As of this
letter's date, only a portion of the requested analyses have been submitted to the EHD. To complete the
requested analyses, please incorporate the following in your next groundwater sampling event:
• MWA: semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
method 8270; and
• SVE-2: total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as motor oil (TPH-mo), SVOCS by EPA method
8270, naphthalene, diesel (TPH-D) and 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA).
At this time, the above analyses need only be performed once and the EHD does not require further
analysis for naphthalene or kerosene in groundwater. The groundwater monitoring schedule is to be as
follows: semi-annually sample MW-1, MW-2, and MW-4; annually sample MW-6; and biennially sample
MW-3, MW-5, and MW-7. Analyses should include: TPH-gasoline, methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), and
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX).
According to Condor, the next groundwater sampling event will include all monitoring wells at the subject
site. Please notify the EHD at least five working days prior to conducting the event.
