San Joaquin County sites
Page 2
503 E.TENTH,TRACY
The contamination in the soil and groundwater appears to be defined at this site. A feasibility
study for remedial alternatives still needs to be performed.
392 S. MOFFAT, MANTECA
Monitoring wells have been installed and quarterly monitoring, groundwater sampling and
reporting must be performed. The vertical and lateral extent of the contamination at this site has
not been defined. This definition will be required later. A feasibility study for remedial alternatives
will also be required.
222 E.WEBER, STOCKTON
Three soil borings have been completed and grab groundwater samples analyzed which
confirmed groundwater contamination. A work plan to delineate the vertical and lateral extent of
impacted soil and groundwater and install monitoring wells is to be submitted by July 16, 2001.
130 N. HUNTER, STOCKTON
Three soil borings have been completed and grab groundwater samples analyzed which
confirmed groundwater contamination. A work plan to delineate the vertical and lateral extent of
impacted soil and groundwater and install monitoring wells is to be submitted by July 16, 2001.
999 MATHEWS, FRENCH CAMP
This site is on the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board list of sites that have not
been tested for MTBE. PHSIEHD placed this site in the Local Oversight Program on June 14,
2001. The detection limits used when analyzing the soil beneath this UST at the time of its
removal do not meet current standards. PHSIEHD staff noted odor and discoloration to the soil
when the UST was removed. Groundwater in this area is about 15 feet below ground surface. A
work plan to investigate the soil and groundwater in the former UST area is to be submitted by
August 16, 2001.
Another meeting to discuss these sites will be scheduled in December 2001.
If you have any questions contact me at (209)468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Unit IV
c: CVRWQCB—Marty Hartzell
