Working To Restore Nature <br /> --3� <br /> r REPORT <br /> PRELIMINARY SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> at <br /> � <br /> BP Oil Facility No. 11195 <br /> . � 16500 South I-5 t1AR fi <br /> Lathrop,California Vlfp�� <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> =` BP Oil Company retained RESNA Industries, Inc. in September 1992 to conduct a preliminary <br /> ` environmental site assessment at BP Oil Facility No. 11195 located at 16500 South I-5, Lathrop, <br /> California. The site vicinity map is shown as Plate 1. <br /> 1.1 P=ose and Scope <br /> =r=rj RESNA performed this preliminary site investigation to evaluate whether fuel hydrocarbons and <br /> selected chemical compounds are present in soil and/or groundwater at selected locations. The <br /> tasks performed during this preliminary site assessment included the following: <br /> Conducting a sensitive receptor survey including an existing well search. <br /> • Drilling and logging five exploratory soil borings, collecting soil samples, and analyzing <br /> samples for selected hydrocarbon constituents. <br /> • Installing five groundwater monitoring wells, developing and surveying the wells, and <br /> collecting and analyzing groundwater samples for selected hydrocarbon constituents <br /> The methods used to complete the tasks listed above were performed in accordance with guidelines <br /> F issued by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board and the governing local <br /> { implementing agencies. <br /> c.: <br /> 17052.01 <br /> r. <br /> .ZU <br />
