Facility <br /> 230 Industrial Avenue <br /> Ripon, CA 95366 <br /> Dear Mr. Brownell: <br /> On behalf of Nestle USA, Inc. (Nestle), Environmental Cost Management, Inc. (ECM) has <br /> prepared this Third Quarter 2010 Site Status Report for the former Nestle facility located at <br /> 230 Industrial Avenue (Site) in Ripon, California (Figure 1). This report presents the results <br /> of groundwater monitoring performed from July through September 2010. <br /> The field work performed during the Third Quarter 2010 for the monitoring program is <br /> summarized below. <br /> • On July 19, 2010, ECM measured water levels in 123 wells (Figure 2). <br /> • On July 19, 2010, ECO:LOGIC Engineering measured water levels for nine City of Ripon <br /> piezometers and recorded water levels for 14 City of Ripon municipal wells and <br /> monitoring wells. <br /> • On July 19, 2010, Lawrence & Associates measured water levels for 11 Neenah Paper <br /> Company wells. <br /> • Between July 2 and August 25, 2010, ECM collected samples from: <br /> o Seventy-two Nestle wells (41 wells using Passive Diffusion Bags, three grab <br /> samples from extraction wells, 24 wells using low flow purge method, and 4 with <br /> dedicated pumps), <br /> o Eight City of Ripon production wells (grab sample from sampling port), <br /> o Three Neenah Paper Company wells, and <br /> o Nine domestic wells including one at the Ripon Christian School and one at the <br /> Ripon Public School (grab sample from sampling port). The well at 415 Parallel <br /> Avenue was not sampled because there was no access to the property. <br /> • On August 2, 3 and 5, 2010, twenty-eight wells were sampled for intrinsic remediation <br /> parameters using low flow purging and sampling techniques. <br />
