1.3 Monitoring
' Our Monitoring Program consists both of airborne and Medical Monitoring
of employee health. Airborne contaminates can present a significant threat to
' worker health and safety. Identification and quantification of the contaminates
through air monitoring is an essential component of our health and safety
program. Reliable measurements are necessary to determine the level of
protective equipment, define the areas where the protection will be needed,
' assess the potential health hazards of exposure and determine whether continual
exposure is occurring which may indicate the need for specific medical
monitoring.
Medical monitoring of our employees' health is essential for the productive
ability of our company. TreaTek employees that are required to enter exclusion
areas and/or work with or near potentially contaminated soil material will receive
medical examinations prior to participation in on-site operations. Examinations will
also be given at the conclusion of the work and, if necessary, an examination at
12 (twelve) month intervals during the work. A physician will provide certification
of each employee's medical ability to perform the task required.
' 1.4 PersProtection
oral
Personal Protective Equipment is required when necessary to shield or
isolate individuals from chemical, physical and biological hazards.
