s 2
tail Map.
A percolation rate of 240 minutes per inch for both Parcel
A and Parcel B is the result of the two tests, and no ground—
water was encountered in excavating either of the soil profile
holes for Parcels A and B. Parcel A was excavated to a depth of
10 feet and Parcel B was excavated to a depth of 8. 3 feet.
Parcel B was not able to be excavated to a full 10—foot depth
due to the available hand augering tools inability to penetrate
the very hard, dry and loose character of the soil. Both the
operator of the Joseph Perry farm and the farmer directly across
Lammers Road to the west attested that groundwater has never
been a problem in this territory.
The percolation test holes for Parcels A and B were both
situate in soil that had never been tilled before. Generally, this
area was utilized by heavy farming vehicles and equipment for
either parking or traversing through it. Also, the percolation
holes had a tendency to slough continuously in the presence of
water which kept increasing the diape ter of the hole below the
water level throughout the test reading period.
Special considerations will need to be made in developing
the sewage disposal facilities on these two parcels.
Attachments: Walter L.
