Facility 230 Industrial Avenue Ripon, CA 95366 Dear Mr. Pierce: On behalf of Nestle USA, Inc. (Nestle), Environmental Cost Management, Inc. (ECM) prepared this First Quarter 2013 Site Status Report for the former Nestle facility located at 230 Industrial Avenue (Site) in Ripon, California (Figure 1). This report presents the results of groundwater monitoring performed throughout the Study Area from January through March 2013. The field work completed during the First Quarter 2013 complied with Monitoring and Reporting Program R5-2010-0810 and is summarized below. • On January 7, 2013x: o ECM measured water levels in 126 wells. o Stantec, Inc. measured water levels for nine City of Ripon piezometers, 11 City of Ripon municipal wells, and three City of Ripon monitoring wells. o Lawrence & Associates measured water levels for nine Diamond Pet Food Processor of Ripon LLC (Diamond) wells. • Between January 10 and March 19, 2013, ECM collected samples from: Sixty-three (63) Nestle monitoring wells (30 Upper Aquifer wells, 19 Intermediate Aquifer Wells, and 14 Lower Aquifer Wells) using Passive Diffusion Bags, Three Nestle extraction wells (EI-1, EU-3, and EU-4), Seven City of Ripon production wells (MW-3, MW-7, MW-9, MW-10, MW- 11, MW-16, and MW-18), a M-55A, M-56A, and M-57A were installed the week of January 7, 2013. Depth to water measurements for these wells were obtained on January 14 and January 15, 2013. 1
