Facility, Ripon, California <br /> Dear Mr. Brownell: <br /> Attached please find the Work Plan addendum for additional investigation in reference to M-10A. In addition, <br /> we have attached (attachment-A)ten cross sections as we agreed during a conference call among yourself <br /> and, John Vargas(ECM)and Peter Bennett(AMEC)and per your suggestion vial an e-mail dated October 3, <br /> 2011. <br /> Following are the responses to your comments on the letter dated August 31, 2011: <br /> 1. The additional investigation requested in comments 1, 2 and 6 is outlined in the attached Work Plan. <br /> 2. ECM has already started sampling well M-1 3A on a quarterly basis starting from the 4`"quarter 2011. <br /> 3. ECM and Nestle will set up a meeting before the end of the year with representatives of the City of <br /> Ripon to discuss well MW-3 issues and to obtain information on pumping rates and well perforation. <br /> If, necessary, ECM will conduct a Flow test for this well to gather more information for developing <br /> further action plans. <br /> 4. ECM and Nestle will meet with representatives of the City of Ripon at the same time as above (item <br /> #3) to discuss the recent detection of COC in the M-28 well nest and to develop an action plan if <br /> necessary. <br /> 5. Well location maps in future reports will show the location of City municipal wells, both existing and <br /> decommissioned, as agreed upon during a call with you on September 9, 2011. <br /> 6. The investigation report which documents the results of investigation outlined in the attached Work <br /> Plan will address the COC migration pathways and evaluate if the guard wells are screened at <br /> adequate depth to protect the municipal wells. <br /> 7.
