Facility 230 Industrial Avenue Ripon, CA 95366 Dear Mr. Brownell: On behalf of Nestle USA, Inc. (Nestle), Environmental Cost Management, Inc. (ECM) has prepared this Second Quarter 2010 Site Status Report to present the results of groundwater monitoring activities performed from April through June 2010, associated with the former Nestle facility located at 230 Industrial Avenue (Site) in Ripon, California (Figure 1). The groundwater monitoring in this quarter included monitoring and/or sampling of a total of 157 wells (Figure 2). The field work performed during the Second Quarter 2010 for the monitoring program is summarized below. • On April 5, 2010, ECM measured water levels in 123 wells. • On April 5, 2010, ECO:LOGIC Engineering measured water levels for nine City of Ripon piezometers. • On April 5, 2010, Lawrence & Associates measured water levels for 11 Neenah Paper Company wells. • Between April 7 and June 25, 2010, ECM collected samples from: o One hundred eight Nestle wells (85 wells using Passive Diffusion Bags, five grab samples from extraction wells, and 18 wells using low flow purge method), o Nine City of Ripon production wells (grab sample from sampling port), o Six Neenah Paper Company wells, and o Nineteen domestic wells including two at the Ripon Christian School and one at the Ripon Public School (grab sample from sampling port). The well at 415 Parallel Avenue was not sampled because there was no access to the property.
