R5-2010-0810 SAMPLING POTABLE WELL AT 501 PARALLEL AVENUE, <br /> FORMER NESTLE USA, INC. FACILITY, RIPON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water Board) staff has <br /> reviewed the 7 June 2010 letter titled Request to Remove Well at 501 Parallel Avenue from <br /> Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) R5-2010-0810 prepared by Environmental Cost <br /> Management, Inc., (ECM), on behalf of Nestle USA, Inc. (Nestle) for the former Nestle coffee <br /> decaffeination facility project located at 230 Industrial Avenue, Ripon, California. <br /> The purpose of the ECM letter is to present documentation that the potable well at <br /> 501 Parallel Avenue, Ripon, California has been destroyed. Also, the ECM letter requests <br /> that the sampling requirement for the well be removed from MRP R5-2010-0810. ECM <br /> included Well Destruction Permit Number SR0053492, issued by San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (County Health) on 3 March 2008. That permit, enclosed <br /> with this letter, indicates that a County Health inspector witnessed the destruction of the well <br /> on 6 March 2008. <br /> Central Valley Water Board staff has attached a copy of this letter and the destruction permit <br /> to the file copy of MRP R5-2010-0810.
