Facility
Ripon, California
Dear Mr. Brownell:
This letter acknowledges our receipt of the August 31, 2011, response to the M-10A
Investigation Report submitted by ECM on November 30, 2010. The letter requests additional
investigation to further delineate the M-10A impacted area. The letter also requested that ECM
submit, on behalf of Nestle, of seven geologic cross sections to the RWQCB in advance of
developing a work plan for additional investigation.
Responding to the letter, a conference was held on September 9, 2011. Participating on the call
were you, John Vargas of ECM, and Peter Bennett of AMEC. The participants agreed that ECM
will submit the cross sections and scope of work to complete the additional investigation
simultaneously in an addendum to the M-1 OA work plan.
Accordingly, ECM will submit a work plan with proposed locations of Cone Penetrometer Test
(CPT) soundings on or before October 20, 2011, as an addendum to the earlier M-10A
Investigation workplan submitted on June 11, 2010. This workplan will include all the requested
cross sections.
Should you have any questions, please call me at(661) 255-1693.
With regards,
Binayak Acharya
Environmental Cost Management, Inc.
cc: Marie Joachim— NUSA
Distribution List
