Wilma Ave. <br /> Ripon, CA 95366 <br /> Attention: Mr. B, Compton <br /> we request to be plaoed on the agenda for the City Council <br /> meeting scheduled for September 1.5, 1992, to obtain permission to <br /> install, and have access to a cluster of four additional <br /> groundwater monitoring wells on the City's property in Ripon, C.A. <br /> These wells are required by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) as part of an ongoing <br /> investigation to evaluate the extent of organic chemical <br /> migration in the aquifers in the area. <br /> Spectrum Drilling (Stockton) will be retained by Nestle Beverage <br /> to drill these monitoring wells, and they are being provided with <br /> engineering and hydrogeological expertise by the consulting firm <br /> of Applied Environmental. Both of theme firms carry all <br /> appropriate coverage for this type of work. <br /> These Lour monitoring wells will be located on city property just <br /> north of the city ponds and east of Acacia St. as shown on the <br /> attached map. Exact location will be approved by site walk with <br /> city personnel. Attached is Camp Dresser & McKee map showing <br /> approximate location of new wells. wells will be drilled at <br /> estimated depths of 40 feet, 120 feet, 175 feet, and 220 feet. <br /> All wells will be finished off flush with the ground , Each well <br /> will be locked to prevent unauthorized access. Water samples <br /> collected from the well will be analyzed by EPA method 502. 2 with <br /> specific emphasis on the determination of concentrations on: <br /> trichloroethylene, 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane, trans-1, 2- <br /> dichioroethylene, and vinyl chloride. In addition, water level <br /> measurement will also be taken, <br /> copies of all well drilling/logging data and analytical results <br /> that are submitted to the evRWQgB will also be forwarded to you, <br /> As previously requested, drilling/logging data and analytical <br /> results from Doak Blvd. location ',,are also attached. <br /> I <br /> i <br />
