NOTES FOR MONITOR WELL LOGS MW-1 THROUGH MW-3
1. Monitor wells MW-1 through MW-3 were drilled and installed from 21 August through 22
August 1991 with truck-mounted, nine-inch diameter, hollow-stem auger equipment to the depths
shown on the logs, and were constructed as illustrated on the logs.
2. The following symbol,, denotes a relatively undisturbed sample taken in a
3-inch-outside diameter, split-tube barrel driven into the soil by a 140-pound hammer falling 30
inches onto rods extending above the ground surface.
3. The following symbol,, denotes the stabilized groundwater level at the date and depth
shown on the boring logs.
4. The wells were constructed with 2-inch diameter, factory slotted (0.02 inch) Schedule 40, PVC
well screens.
i
5. The well installations are protected by locking steel vaults.
6. The well locations and elevations were surveyed by R.W. Siegfried & Associates. Well
elevations are relative to a site datum.
Figure 3a
