I <br /> Mohr-Fiy Ranches <br />' 950 Industrial Drive, Stockton, California August 6, 1996 <br /> Site Closure Report page_ 6 <br />' climatic changes in the Sierras This has resulted in a redonunance of fine arced silts <br /> P gt' <br /> and clays in the subsurface of the area <br />' 7.0 Hydrology <br /> Cahforiva and Federal Governments have mandated that virtually all groundwater is <br />' beneficial for current or future use unless it can be demonstrated that no beneficial use is <br /> known <br />' This aquifer is considered to be of beneficial use and as a result, must be protected from <br /> contamination Those identified uses include agnculture and industrial, as well as <br /> potential use for animal or human consumption <br /> I <br /> 8.0 Conclusions <br />' After a complete review of all the data generated during the Investigative and Remedial <br /> activities associated with dus site, it is the opinion of WIC' that tins site has been <br /> successfully mitigated as the result of <br /> I Removal and disposal of the pnmary sources of contamination, and <br /> I 2 Removal of the second sources of contamination with n <br /> secondary o site bio-remediation <br /> of contaminated soils <br /> Groundwater monitoring has not detected appreciable contamination during the last four <br /> quarterly sampling events (one year) <br /> 9.0 Recommendations <br /> In the May 30, 1996 Btaremediatton Report, WIF recommended no further action be <br /> required at this site and requested site closure from San Joaquin County PHS/EHD It <br /> was also requested that Mohr Fry Ranches be allowed on site disposal of treated soil from <br /> over excavation activities <br /> In a review letter dated July 3, 1996, PHS/EHD concurred with WHF's recommendations <br /> (Appendix E) As directed, the monitoring wells have been properly destroyed and this <br /> tclosure report prepared <br /> On behalf of Mohr-Fry Ranches, WET requests issuance of a final closure letter and <br /> removal of the site from the contaminated site list <br />
