Temporary PVC casing will be used to collect shallow zone
groundwater, and a Hydropunch will be used to collect deep zone groundwater.
2. Soil samples will be retained every 5-feet from 50 to 70 feet, or at lithologic changes
for possible laboratory analysis . Due to the low yield clays previously encountered in
the deep groundwater zone, boring casing may be left in place overnight if no
groundwater is recovered the first day. Open borings will be protected to prevent
intrusion of water and covered with steel plates to restrict access . Cones and/or
barricades will be used over the borings.
Laboratory Analyses
1 . Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, fuel oxygenates, 1 ,2-DCA,
and EDB , using EPA method 826013 , and TPH as kerosene (TPHk) by EPA Method
8015M with a silica gel cleanup.
2. Soil samples will be analyzed for TPHg, and BTEX and MTBE by EPA Method
8015M and EPA Method 8021 , and TPHk by EPA Method 8015M with a silica gel
cleanup.
Please contact us with any questions or comments .
VAHmme\DUSTYNE\SF ProjectAStockton Garage\WP Addendum for Jan 25.doc '
