i <br /> • Contact lenses may not be worn on Site; if chemical substances enter the eyes, proper <br /> flushing would be impeded; <br /> • Implement decontamination procedures for personnel and equipment; <br /> • Establish and maintain communication between personnel; and <br /> • Field activities will be halted if unforeseen hazards occur that necessitate greater <br /> precautions. <br /> J 5A General Decontamination Procedures <br /> Disposable items (i.e., gloves, Tyvek coveralls) will be changed daily unless grossly <br /> contaminated and the risk of cross-contamination between sampling points is present. All <br /> contaminated articles and waste materials shall be properly containerized and appropriately <br /> disposed. <br /> 5.5 Confined Space Entry Procedures <br /> The proposed work tasks to be performed at the Site are not expected to require personnel to <br /> enter confined spaces. Ra confined space is present, no Treadwell & Rollo employee or <br /> subcontractor will enter an area identified as a confined space. If a confined space <br /> environment is present or suspected, immediately notify the Health and Safety Officer and field <br /> team personnel for implementing Site control and safe work practices modifications. <br /> 6.0 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN <br /> Emergency response procedures include pre-emergency planning, lines of authority and <br /> communication, emergency recognition and prevention, Site control, evacuation routes, <br /> decontamination and emergency medical treatment and first aid. Many of these items have been <br /> previously discussed in other sections. The Health and Safety Officer is the primary authority <br /> for directing Site operations under emergency conditions.
