At MW-1, concentrations of Benzene, Ethylbenzene, and Total Xylenes have decreased exponentially with -.
time indicating natural attenuation is occurring . At MW-2 and MW-3, concentrations of Benzene,
Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes do not show clear exponential decreases with time.
Toluene and MTBE have also recently been detected at the site. However detected concentrations are =
below the primary MCLS (150 pg/L for Toluene and 13 pg/L for MTBE) .
Concentrations of TPWg, TPH-k, and BTEX compounds in the deep zone were generally higher in
comparison to shallow groundwater samples. -i
TPH-g was detected in all deep groundwater samples. Concentrations ranged between 4,000 pg/L in
SB-7 to 91,000 pg/Lin SB-3.
TPH-k was detected in all deep groundwater samples. TPH-k concentrations ranged between 480 pg/L
from SB-7 to 48,000 pg/L from 8B-3 . However concentrations were of lesser magnitude than TPH-g
(Table 3). In addition, the lab report indicated that in all samples TPH-k chromatograms did not
resemble the chromatogram for the TPH-k laboratory standard.
Benzene was detected in all sample locations at concentrations ranging between 8. 2 pg/L in SB-5b to _
9,400 pg/Lin SB-3 . Toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes were etected in SB-2. SB-3 and SB-7.
Toluene concentrations ranged between 2.3 pg/L in SB-7 to 800 pg/L in SB-J. Ethylbenzene was
detected in SB-2, SB-3 and SB-7 at 5,700 pg/L, 5,400 pg/L and 2.5 pg/L respectively. i5
MTBE was only detected in SB-7 at a concentration of 1 .5 pg/L. The remaining fuel oxygenates and
VOCs including TBA, DIPE, MTBE, ETBE, TAME, 1,2-DCA, EDB, ethanol and methanol were not detected _
above laboratory reporting limits.
