I
3 0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS
Between March 24, and August 19, 2004, the groundwater surface dropped an average of 1 09
feet, and the groundwater flow direction and gradient remained relatively consistent On August
19, 2004, the depth to groundwater beneath the site was at its lowest level, since the monitoring
wells were installed in July 2002 Otherwise, the groundwater surface characteristics are
consistent with historical trends
Between March 24, and August 19, 2004, the concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in
groundwater generally decreased in all impacted wells The decline in petroleum hydrocarbon
concentrations in groundwater beneath the site is probably a result of prior source removal efforts
and on-going natural attenuation processes
On May 7, 2004, Ramage Environmental recommended that groundwater conditions along the
south and east walls of the parking garage be confirmed by installing groundwater monitoring
wells, and that the lateral and vertical extent of impacted groundwater be defined
On August 6 2004 EHD documented nted their review of Ramage Environmental's Additional Site
Investigation Report, dated May 7, 2004, and directed that a work plan be submitted to further
define the lateral and vertical extent of impacted groundwater ,
9
