San Joaquin County Owned Sites Contaminated from Lealung Underground Storage a¢ <br /> Tanks ya <br /> On May 1,2000,a meeting was held in the office of San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Hearth Olvision(PHSIEHD)to dracuss the investigations and remedial actions at <br /> San Joaquin County owned sites that are oontemrneted from unauthorized releases from air- <br /> underground <br /> underground storage tanks Lon Duncan and I represented PHS/EHD You, Kerry Wesson,and r <br /> Bob McMillen represented the County as the responsible party for the contaminated sites The go <br /> following is a summary of the site discussions and PHSJEHD directives for the sites The Airport <br /> facility at 5000 S Airport Way Stockton,was not included m the discussions <br /> It was discussed Male limited amount of money has been of xoWd by the County for the <br /> investtgatton and rerned+abon of these sites It was also discussed that the State of California has <br /> recognized that Methyl Ternary Butyl Ether(MTBE)is a risk to the environment and that in order <br /> to evaluate site pnorlies the groundwater at each site must be investrgateo <br /> 11!10 E N"ELTON,STOCKTON <br /> Soll and groundwater contamination of MTBE as well as petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants <br /> has been confirmed at this site Currently,this site is of highest priority The vertical and lateral <br /> extent of the contamination in the sod and groundwater must be defined In additlon, a survey to <br /> ' locate sit wells within 2000 radial feet of this site must be conducted.
