Environmental Science Services, Inc.
December 19,2001
Jerry Dukuyer
6787 Jahant Road
Lodi,CA
Re: Clandestine Drug Laboratory Investigation
6781 Jahant Road
Acampo,CA
ESS,Inc.Project Number:20011062
Michael Noel,Certified Industrial Hygienist(CIH)and Toxicologist from MECA Consulting,Inc.(MECA)was
requested to perform an initial assessment of a clandestine drug laboratory at the above referenced site.
The site walkthrough, evaluation and sampling for suspect drug-chemical contamination was performed on
November 19, 2001. Mr. Chris Hintz,Environmental Scientist assisted Mr. Remington Caldwell, Senior Environmental
Scientist for MECA in the evaluation and sampling at the site. The scope of the initial evaluation was to physically
inspect the property where illicit drug operations occurred to ascertain whether contamination from the drug
manufacnxing was localized to the actual manufacturing area,or was possibly spread to other areas.
Site observations of the mobile trailer revealed that there were only a few reddish-orange stains present in the
area deemed the suspected manufachuing area. No other odors, stains or evidence of drug chemicals or residues were
observed during the inspection.Concern about dumping into the septic system prompted locating and opening the septic
tank.
Samples were collected of several reddish-brown stairs in the inside of the residence and a sample of the septic
tank was collected. The reddish-orange stains were analyzed for Iodide 8t Phosphorous while the septic tank was
analyzed for pH and an organic screen(EPA 8260 with open scan).
RESULTS:
lodide(Phosphorous Results:
Date Sample Location of Sample Iodide Phosphorous
ID Results Results
11/19/01 1119-1 Trailer near door ND ND
U119101 1119-2 'frailer floor main area ND ND
11/19/01 1119-3 Trailer-middle BR floor I ND ND
11/19/01 1119-4 Trailer-Kitchen floor ND ND
;''f.'1ri,'Ciiil,;vc^-.--_ _`:;:c i, ,= r-rr. r , i '•. 8t tIS; i; t _ Ufice ;Juni 48?-0)9SFat
L%,.""52 1 , %9; 3 -;5'GrSCe IA;9; ;i3 0;°7_ Fax
_10 Gr.- ;i(? i :r_cv(. • kpr c, t1' ;C ,'121 53 rr:._c ;%0_f 825-5353 Fcxco
•cl eso :so To To oaa
