1
twell MW-1 at concentrations of 2 9 and 0 5 These concentrations are below
' their respective MCLS of 6 0 µg/1 and 10 0 µg11
Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (BEP) was detected in two monitoring wells, MW-1 and
' MW-2 at concentrations of 50 µg/l and 46 µg11 respectively Both these concentrations
exceed the Primary MCL for BEP of 4 0 µg/1 It should be noted that the laboratory
' reporting limit for BEP was 10 0 µg11, which is above the established MCL of 4 0 µg/l
Additionally, BEP is a common constituent in plastic and glass materials and is often
considered an outside contaminant when detected at low concentrations in groundwater
' samples
' The following dissolved metals were detected in groundwater samples from the newly
installed monitoring wells at the site.
' • Arsenic, • Nickel,
• Barium, • Selenium,
1
• Chromium, • Vanadium,
'. • Molybdenum, • Zinc
1
There are currently no Primary MCLs listed for molybdenum, vanadium, or zinc None of the
' metals concentrations detected in groundwater samples from the monitoring wells exceed their
respective MCLs
' Groundwater elevation contours indicate a northeasterly groundwater flow across the site
Monitoring well MW-1 was situated as an upgradient well from the former UST location The
purpose of this well was to establish upgradient groundwater quality and to assess the potential
for contaminants to be migrating onto the site from an upgradient offsite source Both TPH as
' diesel and other chlorinated solvents were detected in this well
' 7.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the previous environmental data generated for the site and the information from current
' site investigation activities, URS has made the following conclusions and recommendations
I
r '
13 V\Goodwin ProctoffinaiReport doc
