R5-2015-0808 • -3- <br /> DEUEL VOCATIONAL INSTITUTION <br /> 23500 KASSON ROAD,TRACY <br /> Failure to submit the required reports to the Central Valley Water Board according to <br /> the schedule detailed herein may result in enforcement action(s) being taken against <br /> you, which may include the imposition of administrative civil liability pursuant to CWC <br /> section 13268. Administrative civil liability of up to $1,000 per violation per day may be <br /> imposed for non-compliance with the directives contained herein. <br /> REQUIRED ACTIONS <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Monitoring and Reporting Order No. R5-2009-0800 is <br /> rescinded and, pursuant to California Water Code section 13267, the California <br /> Department of Corrections shall conduct monitoring and reporting in compliance with new <br /> Monitoring and Reporting Order No. R5-2015-0808 according to the following: <br /> Monitoring Specifications <br /> 1. The Discharger shall implement monitoring according to the schedule shown in <br /> Table 1. There are currently 33 monitoring wells associated with the two active <br /> cases at the site as shown in Figure 1. This Monitoring Order applies to the 33 wells <br /> identified in Table 1A and 1B, and any monitoring wells installed subsequent to the <br /> issuance of this Order. The Discharger shall collect samples using standard <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protocol. <br /> Table 1A. Monitoring Frequency — Burn Pit <br /> DTW Only' Semi-annually2 Sampled Annually3 <br /> Wells MW-1-STP, MW-2-STP, MW-2-BP, MW-5-BP, MW-1-BP, MW-3-BP, <br /> MW-3-STP, MW-4-STP, MW-6-BP, MW-7-BP, MW-4-BP, MW-8-BP, <br /> MW-10-BP, MW-12-BP, MW-24-BP, MW-25-BP, MW-9-BP, MW-15-BP, <br /> MW-13-BP, MW-14-BP any new monitoring MW-16-BP, MW-17-BP, <br /> MW-19-SP, MW-20-SP, wells MW-18-BP <br /> MW-21-SP, MW-22-SP, <br /> MW-23R-SP <br /> These wells shall be monitored semi-annually for depth to water only. <br /> 2 Wells that must be sampled semi-annually shall be sampled during the second (April-June) <br /> and fourth (October-December) quarters. <br /> 3 Wells that must be sampled annually shall be sampled during the fourth quarter. <br /> Table 1 B. Monitoring Frequency — Maintenance Building <br /> Semi-annually4 Sampled Annually5 <br /> Wells MW-3-MB, MW-5-MB, any MW-1-MB, MW-2-MB, <br /> new monitoring wells MW-4-MB, <br /> Wells that must be sampled semi-annually shall be sampled during the second <br /> (April-June) and fourth (October-December) quarters. <br /> e Wells that must be sampled annually shall be sampled during the fourth quarter. <br />
