Box 317
Lathrop, CA 95301
' Subject: Monitoring Well (P-M6) Abandonment Report
' Mossdale Landing
Lathrop, California
Dear Mr. Luckey:
In accordance with your request and authorization, a single monitoring well (P-M6) has
' been abandoned at the above-referenced site. The monitoring well was abandoned in
accordance with Kleinfelder's Work Order, No. ST06W251 (dated July 26, 2006). The
activities were conducted at the request of Mr. John Scherer, on behalf of TCN
Properties. At the request of TCN Properties, a copy of this report has been sent to the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) for their review and
comment. The following is a brief description of Kleinfelder's field activities and
observations.
BACKGROUND
At the request of TCN Properties, Kleinfelder installed monitoring well P-M6 on January
20, 2006 in the vicinity of the P-M6 Pump Station, located in Mossdale Landing in
' Lathrop, California (Plate 1). A groundwater sample was subsequently obtained from
the monitoring well for the purpose of characterizing groundwater in association with
obtaining dewatering permits. The monitoring well installation and subsequent
' sampling were documented in a letter report titled, "Groundwater Monitoring Well
Installation, Development, and Groundwater and Surface Water Sampling, M-6 Pump
Station, Mossdale Landing, Lathrop, California" (File No. 65078.702, dated May 19,
' 2006). The monitoring well was subsequently damaged during construction activities in
the vicinity of the pump station. TCN properties contacted Kleinfelder to locate and
assess the condition of the well and to properly abandon the monitoring well in
' accordance with the San Joaquin County Well Standards.
65078.T03/ST06R1001/FB:ly Page 1 of 4
' ©2006 Kleinfelder, Inc September 11,2006
KLEINFELDER 2825 East Myrtle Street, Stockton, CA 95205-4794 (209)948-1345 (209) 948-0621 fax
