ZCL I XERXES® Xerxes® Double-Wall <br /> making a lasting difference® Containment Sump <br /> Incorporating product improvements for a changing market <br /> For decades, Xerxes has been a pioneer in the design and manufacture of fiberglass storage tanks and <br /> accessories. Xerxes' latest double-wall, fiberglass containment sump responds to customers' changing <br /> requirements with a product that has incorporated a number of design enhancements. Utilizing <br /> Parabeam0, a unique three-dimensional glass reinforcement material, to create the interstitial space, <br /> the primary and secondary walls work together to provide a sump that is significantly lighter in weight <br /> than its predecessor, yet stronger structurally. <br /> Designed for either vacuum or hydrostatic monitoring of the interstitial space, the new eight-sided, <br /> double-wall sump is designed to meet increasingly strict continuous-monitoring requirements. <br /> Underwriters Laboratory (ULO) tested the product to include a rigorous over pressurization test, <br /> demonstrating the ability of the design to minimize false alarms attributed to fluctuating reservoir levels <br /> often found in other double-wall sumps. During UL testing, the pressure in the interstitial space was <br /> subjected to an extra 5 prig on top of the monitoring fluid. The test found no leakage in the sump and <br /> a total reservoir-level drop of less than 1 inch. <br /> Today, regulations in some locations require periodic tightness testing for containment sumps. In such <br /> areas, the Xerxes double-wall sump with continuous hydrostatic monitoring goes beyond the basic <br /> security that secondary containment provides.
