Manteca Rd, Manteca
APN 226-110-46, SR0081592
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated May 15, 2019, submitted on January 1, 2019 for the above noted location, and
has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL Study was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted location for onsite wastewater
treatment system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrate to groundwater for existing residence and
the proposed development project. The proposed project development includes:
1. Off-site wine cellar building approximately 5,600 square feet, an office building, approximately 2,000
square foot, a restroom building approximately 400 square feet that will result in generating 721
gallons of wastewater per day from the following activities:
a. Wastewater from existing 4 bedroom home on daily basis.
b. Wastewater from 14 employees 59 days per year.
c. Wastewater from 2 parking attendants 59 days per year.
d. Wastewater from 130 customers marketing events 10 days per year.
e. Wastewater from 80 wine tasting customers 49 events per year.
Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for standard
OWTS usage on existing parcels, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-
1105.2(d), provided all existing OWTS and 100% replacement areas can meet all minimum setback
requirements from any water wells.
Any deviation to project development or OWTS usage other than mentioned above shall require new Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Registered Environmental Health Specialist,
REHS'2 t nah d@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3436.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Abby Rocco- Live Oak GeoEnvironmental- 407 W.
