Overall, there are numerous industrial facilities in the area that may have contaminated groundwater. ' Soil beneath the drywells and above the water table has not been impacted. This indicates that groundwater contamination did not result from waste water discharge from the Concrete Cure Room, which would have migrated downward through soil and left residual contamination. Petroleum hydrocarbon groundwater contamination is more likely from a different source in the area. There are many potential sources, as discussed above. 7.0 RECOMMENDATIONS t We recommend that this case be closed based on the evidence that waste water discharge from the Concrete Cure Room did not impact soil above the water table, and therefore almost certainly did not impact groundwater.
