Data are provided in compliance with Monitoring and Reporting Program
(MRP) Board Order No. R5-2002-0034 dated March 7, 2002. Attached to this report are figures including a
vicinity map, Site map, groundwater elevation contour map, hydrograph, nitrate as nitrogen (nitrate-N)
versus time, total dissolved solids (TDS) versus time, and fixed dissolved solids (FDS) versus time (Figures
I through 7, Attachment A). This report includes project background information, a description of field and
laboratory procedures and results, and an event summary.
' BACKGROUND INFORMATION
' The Site was developed as a winery in 1998. Neither crushing nor fermentation occurs at this time, but the
Site is currently seeking to expand their operations. The existing wastewater treatment system consists of two
mechanically aerated treatment ponds with subsequent discharge to land. The seven Site groundwater
' monitoring wells, GW-1 through GW-7, were installed in March 2002 as required by the Regional Board to
monitor the potential impact of wastewater infiltration to the Site groundwater via the surface ponds and land
application disposal areas. Quarterly monitoring of these seven wells is required by the MRP due to shallow
groundwater conditions at the Site. Three additional monitoring wells, DWS-1, DWS-2, and DWS-3, are
' associated with the on-site septic leachfield and are sampled annually(during the second quarter)as required
by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). Historic groundwater monitoring
data is provided in Attachment B.
GROUNDWATER MONITORING
' SAMPLING PROCEDURES AND FIELD OBSERVATIONS
A Condor representative collected groundwater samples from Site groundwater monitoring wells GW-1
through GW-7 on May 19, 2009, for laboratory analyses of nitrate-N, sulfate, total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN),
' specific conductance (EC), TDS, FDS, and Standard Minerals to meet the annual sampling and analysis
' n
i41 CONDOR
