' Second Quarter Groundwater Monitoring Report—May 2009
Sutter Home Winery
' Page 4
SUMMARY
Groundwater quality across the Site, as well as up-gradient to the Site, is highly variable. Nitrate-N was
detected above the DHS Primary MCL of 10 milligrams per liter (mg/L) in GW-5, GW-6, and GW-7.
Laboratory-measured EC values were above the recommended DHS Secondary MCL of 900 micromhos per
centimeter (µmhos/cm) but below the upper level of 1,600 µmhos/cm in GW-1, GW-5, GW-6, and GW-7.
Total dissolved solids (TDS) were detected at concentrations above the DHS Secondary MCL of 500 mg/L,
but below the upper level of 1,000 mg/L, in GW-1, GW-5, GW-6, and GW-7. The FDS concentrations, the
non-organic portion of TDS which is generally not subject to biologic treatment by soil microorganisms, has
' generally remained stable in all monitoring wells since inception of monitoring in 2002 (Figure 7). The third
quarter groundwater monitoring event is scheduled for August 2009.
' LIMITATIONS
Condor developed the interpretations and conclusions presented herein in accordance with generally
accepted principles and practice. Conclusions presented in this report are professional opinions based on
' limited information obtained at the time of our Site visits. Condor has endeavored to determine as much as
practical about the Site using conventional practices given our scope of services. Condor makes no
representation as to the subsurface conditions at locations or times other than those sampled by our
employees and reported in this document. If any changes are made or errors found in the information utilized
in this report, the interpretations and conclusions contained herein shall not be considered valid unless the
changes are reviewed by Condor and either appropriately modified or re-approved in writing.
' Condor's involvement in the work performed at this Site has been limited to collecting and recording depth-
to-water measurements and field parameters; collecting and shipping groundwater samples; compiling data
provided by analytical laboratories; and interpreting field data. Condor is not responsible for the accuracy
and completeness of information collected and developed by others.
1
1
1
1
' is
CONDOR
