(ATC) . Consistently high concentrations of
petroleum hydrocarbons have been detected in groundwater samples of
monitoring well MW-1 . ATC recommended connecting MW- 1 to the existing
soil vapor extraction system to maximize the effect of the existing remediation
system. ATC also recommended installing a stinger in MW-1 to accommodate
the groundwater expected to be extracted out of MW- 1 .
EHD agrees with ATC's recommendation to connect MW-1 to the existing
remediation system (H&S 25299 . 37,subd. (c) (3)) . EHD requests the
modification work be implemented before the end of the first quarter of 2004.
Please notify EHD in advance the schedule when the work is to take place.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
C' ' \ ` VV
Jeffrey Wong , Senior REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
c: Drew Van Allen - ATC Associates Inc.
