N C <br /> Fax 209 579 2225 <br /> Apn1 14, 2004 A PR 1 6 2004 <br /> 54 62596 0001 ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Mr Richard Stifrler <br /> City of Stockton <br /> Department of Municipal Utilities <br /> 2500 Navy Drive <br /> Stockton, CA 95206-1191 <br /> Subject March 2004 Self-Momtonng Report for Groundwater Discharge at Farmer <br /> Property, 610 North Hunter Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Stifller <br /> ATC Associates Inc is presenting this March 2004 Self Momtonng Report for the discharge <br /> system located at 610 North Hunter Street in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The Groundwater <br /> Discharge Penmit (GDP) was approved by the City of Stockton Department of Municipal Utilities <br /> on November 6, 2002 On February 19, 2003, the City of Stockton Department of Municipal <br /> Utilities issued an Amended Groundwater Discharge Permit increasing the maximum groundwater <br /> discharge capacity from 1,000 to 2,000 gallons per day <br /> REMEDIATION SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> On December 20, 2002, ATC personnel started up the soil and groundwater remediation system <br /> at the above referenced property The remediation system includes a thermal oxidizer to <br /> remediate petroleum-impacted vapors and a carbon filtration system to remediate petroleum- <br /> impacted groundwater extracted from the subsurface Groundwater is collected into a knockout <br /> drum, treated, and then discharged to the sanitary sewer A site plan and remediation system <br /> layout are shown on Figures 2 and 3, respectively <br /> SELF-MONITORING ACTIVITIES <br /> ATC personnel monitored the groundwater discharge system on March 26, 2004 In accordance <br /> with the City of Stockton Department of Municipal Utilities Amended GDP requirements, the <br /> flow, total flow, and Lower Explosive Limits (LEL for gasoline) were continuously recorded <br /> Also in accordance with the GDP, on March 26, 2004, ATC collected well-mixed and <br /> representative samples of the final treated groundwater The groundwater samples were analyzed <br /> for pH by EPA method 150 1, total petroleum hydrocarbons by EPA method 418 1, total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPI-1g) by EPA method 8015B, benzene, toluene, ethyl <br /> benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) utilizing EPA method 8021B, and methyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) utilizing EPA method 8260B <br /> S 1625951reportslwaterdischarge103_04 doc 1 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL, GEOTECHNICAL AND MATERIALS PROFESSIONALS <br />
