Box 4086 <br /> Golden, Colorado 80401-4086 <br /> SUBJECT: Scope of Work, Soil and Groundwater Assessment Activities,514 West <br /> Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California. <br /> Dear Mr.Williger: <br /> Geraghty & Miller appreciates the opportunity to submit this scope of work to Boston <br /> Chicken, Inc. for soil and groundwater assessment activities at the subject property. We <br /> understand that a Phase'I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) was performed by Enviros, <br /> Inc. (report dated March 18, 1994) and an agency file review was completed by CRC <br /> Environmental Risk Management, Inc. (report dated March 21, 1994). Geraghty & Miller was <br /> provided with excerpts of these reports for the purpose of preparing this scope of work. <br /> The objective of the tasks described below is to.determine the magnitude of the effect <br /> that petroleum hydrocarbon releases from the surrounding service stations have had on the <br /> subject property. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> TASK 1: PREFIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Geraghty & Miller will review the Phase 1 ESA reports prepared previously for the <br /> subject property and will compile the existing soil and groundwater data from the ARCO and <br /> Shell service stations to the north and east, respectively, of the subject property. If it appears <br /> that any modifications to this scope of work would be appropriate, Geraghty & Miller will <br /> contact Boston Chicken, Inc. to discuss recommendations and any scope changes. <br /> Geraghty & Miller will arrange for a subsurface utility locating company to clear each <br /> proposed-boring location of subsurface utilities and will schedule a State-licensed drilling <br /> contractor to accomplish the drilling, soil sampling, and groundwater sampling activities.
