Ovmxcavadon will be
performed using a backhoe or excavator. The soil stockpile will be covered with plastic following
overexcavation activities.
Confirmation Sampling
At the completion of the overexcavation activities, confirmation soil samples will be Collected to assess the
concentrations of petroleura hydrocarbons that remain in the Soils. Samples will be collected from the
excavation sidewalls and from the base of the excavation, as necessary, to assess the results of the
overexcavation activities. Sample locations will be selected in the field by URS.
Waste Characterization and Disposal
Following the completion of overexcavation activities, the petroleum-impacted soil stockpiles will be
characterized and transported off site for disposal. The soil stockpiles will be characterized by collecting one
sample for every 50 cubic yards of soil.Following the receipt of the analytical results, the sail stockpiles will
be transported by Dillard Tracking to either Forward Landfill in Manteca or Altamont Landfill in Livermore.
The appropriate landfill will be selected based oit disposal costs, which will be calculated and assessed
following the receipt of the stockpile analytical results.
URS Corporation
Crown Corporate canter
2870 Getaway Oaks Drive,Suite 300
5acrilmento,CA 95833
Tek 916.679.2000 ,
Fax,916.679.2900 tcv5 BP ARM0043AUSP Remon WorkPlamdoc
