LABORATORY ANALYSES
k The groundwater samples collected from the CPT and the shallow direct push boringswill be analyzed for
BTEX and selected gasoline oxygenates/additives by EPA Method 8260B, and TPH-G by Method 8015B.
The selected oxygenates/additives included MTBE, ethanol (EtOH), tertiary-butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl
ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), TAME, 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and 1,2-
dibromoethane (EDB). The analytical methods and analytical detection limits are presented in Table 1,
below.
LTABLE 1
Laborato Analytical Methods
y CONSTITUENT METHOD DETECTION LUMT
T Benzene 8260B 0.5µg/I.
h Toluene 8260B 0.5"gg(L
--------
Ethyl Benzene 8260B 0.5
gg(-
Total Xylenes 8260B 1.0 gL
Oxygenates/Additives . 8260B 0.5_5.0 gg/L
rr- TPH-G 8015M 50.0 jig/L
5.0 REPORTING -
k.. Following completion of the fieldwork and evaluation of the laboratory analytical data, a report will be
prepared for submittal to the SJCEHD and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CRWQCB) describing the results of the investigation. At a minimum the report will include: (1) a .
discussion of the site history, (2) a description of-the fieldwork conducted at the site, (3) the laboratory
L results, (4) a scaled site plan, (5) cross-sections, (6) CPT and direct push boring logs, (7) conclusions, and
(8)recommendations.
I •
i
i
i
i1 CONDOR
