Installation of 4 pairs of cone penetrometer (CPT) borings for a total of 8 <br /> borings to 125 feet bsg to evaluate the hydro-geological condition and to define <br /> the vertical extent of oxygenate (MTBE and TAME) contamination. First boring <br /> of the CPT pair will be used to obtain,geological data, and the second boring will <br /> be used to collect grab groundwater samples.for analyses based on specific CPT <br /> data. - <br /> 2. Installation of 5 off-site shallow borings (hydropunch) to 25 feet bsg to collect <br /> grab groundwater samples to define the lateral extent of the groundwater <br /> contamination. <br /> COMMENTS_ AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. EHD requests you begin the application process for an encroachment permit <br /> from City of Manteca immediately to avoid delay in implementation of the <br /> proposed shallow borings. <br /> 2. If it is more cost-effective,EHD recommends using the same CPT unit to obtain <br /> grab groundwater samples from the 5 shallow borings instead of utilizing a <br /> separate direct push mount. <br /> 3.
