' Fourth Quarter,2002 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
I
Boyett Petroleum,419 S.Main,Manteca,CA
Page 5
FUTURE WORK/RECOMMENDATIONS
Quarterly monitoring of the site should continue. All of the monitoring wells contain a significant
percentage of sediment and require redevelopment. Condor recommends that, for the next six months,
water levels in monitor wells MW-1 through MW-3 and MW-6 through MW-9 be measured on a monthly
basis and groundwater samples be collected for MTBE laboratory analysis. The primary objective of this
increase in monitoring frequency is to garner additional information pertaining to the site's historically
' highly variable groundwater gradient, which may help explain the fluctuations in the MTBE levels
recorded for MW-2 and MW-8 and the current, and historically, elevated levels of MTBE in groundwater
samples collected from MW-1 and MW-7. In addition, Condor recommends the installation of a new
' monitoring well immediately north of the site building's northeast corner, south of MW-9 between the
historically high MTBE concentrations in MW-1 and the underground storage tanks (USTs)/dispenser
island.
LIMITATIONS AND SIGNATURE
This report was prepared under the direct supervision of a Registered Geologist in the State of California.
L The standard of care for all services performed or furnished by Condor is commensurate with the care and
skill ordinarily used by a member of the environmental profession practicing under similar conditions at
the same time in the same locality.
