SCID Boyett Petroleum <br /> 419 South Main Street <br /> Manteca, California <br />' Underground Storage Tank Preliminary Investigation <br /> Report of Findings <br /> 1.0 Project Identification <br /> SC&D Boyett Petroleum has retained VA-IF, Inc., Environmental and Engineering Group <br /> to evaluate the shallow sub-surface layer and groundwater underlying the fuel island <br /> dispensers and to classify the stockpiled soils that were removed during the demolition and <br /> retrofitting activities. <br /> 2.0 Site Location <br /> SC&D Boyett Petroleum is located in Manteca, California (Figure 1). The property is <br /> identified as Parcel 23 in Book 9, on Map 2 of the Baccilieri Park Addition. The Assessor <br /> Parcel Number (APN) is 219-38-23 in San Joaquin County. The subject parcel has a <br /> physical address known as 419 South Main Street, Manteca, California (Figure 2). <br /> 3.0 Scope of Work <br /> On October 5, 1998, VVIR', Inc. (1AW) in conjunction with Fisch Environmental <br /> Exploration Services, a state Iicensed drilling contractor, completed two (2) vertical soil <br /> borings, SB-1 and SB-2, to a maximum depth of eighteen (18) feet near the fuel dispenser <br />' island (Figure 3). The data collected was utilized to evaluate the presence or absence of <br /> contamination in the shallow subsurface and groundwater underlying the fuel dispensers. <br />' Soil samples were taken from all borings at five (5) foot intervals for soil classification. <br /> Three (3) soil samples were selected from each boring at 4-6 feet, 9-11 feet, and 16 feet <br />' for laboratory analysis. One (1) groundwater sample was collected from the termination <br /> point at eighteen(18) feet for laboratory analysis. <br /> 3.I Drilling <br />' The soil borings were accomplished using a mobile mounted drilling rig employing <br /> the use of a Geo-Probe system. <br />
