Harza proposes to drill 10 soil
borings to help define the extent of metal and petroleum soil contamination, and extend one of the
bntings down to ground water to get a water sample.
Lax.my discussion of the scope of work with Mr. Dennis Laduzinsky of Harza, we agreed that the i zrouud
water sample to be taken from boring f3B8 would be analyzed for lead in additioa to petroleum
hydrocarbon constituents, Mr. Laduzinsky also agreed tc take a utter look at the potential need to
analyze soil samples from borings H131 though HB5 for metals, and samples from borings HB8 through
HB10 for petroleum constituents. He was o:the opinion that pre-6ous sail sampling had deEmed the
extent of these contaminants ia these particular areas of the site.
The work plan is hereby approved on condition that the above issues are addressed. By 22 November
1.995 please subax h a report which documents the results or the investigation and includes your
recommendations for further invt*tigation or remediation.
If you have any questions, you may call me at(916) 255-3477.
JOfM.
