The purpose of
the investigation was to verify soils conditions adjacent to the 500-gallon underground
diesel storage tank associated with the backup generator at the site. This report
describes the work performed, summarizes field observations and laboratory analyses,
and provides conclusions drawn from the available data.
It has been concluded that soils adjacent to the tank have not been impacted by
diesel fuel. This conclusion was based on the absence of petroleum hydrocarbons
during visual and olfactory inspection, field headspace analyses and laboratory
analysis of one soil sample.
WORK PERFORMED
Two soil borings were drilled adjacent to the 500-gallon underground diesel storage
tank (Figure 2) on August 31, 1992, by Westex of West Sacramento, California.
Prior to drilling and sampling activities, Underground Service Alert (USA) was
11101 White Rock Road,Rancho Cordova,CA 95670(916)638-3696 FAX(916)638-2842
q01*&rJ*d0@W
