(Suprema) and are providing this addendum
letter on behalf of Suprema, per your request. The following provides responses to your comments
dated 5 May 2000.
• Monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 will be moved a minimum of 30 feet away from the
South San Joaquin Irrigation Canal, per your conversation with Christina Romano on
May 8, 2000.
• Hollow stem auger drilling will be used to install the five wells.
• The bentonite transition seal has been modified (see attached figure) to 2 feet, rather than
5 feet, as requested.
• The filter pack has been modified to use No. 3 sand, rather than No. 30 sand, as requested.
• The percentage of bentonite in the bentonite/cement well grout will be limited to 6%by
weight, as requested (see attached figure).
• Four-inch wells will be installed due to the potential for two-inch well casings to bend or
warp after installation due to adjacent construction activities or ground movement.
If you have any questions about this addendum letter, please contact Christina Romano or
Dave Richard at (916) 641-1500.
Sincerely,
Nt ssociates, Inc.
Paveichard, P.E.
