(AGE)will collect one soil
sample from a small area of oil dumping located at the referenced site.
According to the City of Stockton Code Enforcement, a small area near the garage at the site was
utilized by tenants for disposal of liquid wastes. It is our understanding that the site was inspected
by representatives of the san Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health
Division (PHS-EHD) and it was determined that the liquid was most likely used motor oil.
According to Mr. Ahmad, he then proceeded to remove several "boxes" full of the oil-stained soil
and stored them in the garage area at the site.
Representatives of AGE visited the site on 12 June 2000 to inspect the affected area and place the
"boxed"soil into appropriately labeled DOT-drums. Approximately two 55-gallon drums of soil was
present in the garage area. The soil will be transported to an appropriate landfill for disposal.
AGE proposes the collection of one soil sample from the liquid disposal area. A hand auger will be
used to collect a sample from a depth of approximately 24 to 36 inches in depth. The sample will be
transported under chain-of-custody to a State of California certified laboratory. The soil sample will
be analyzed for the following:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as motor oil (TPH-mo) in accordance with EPA
Method 8015 Modified;
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with EPA Method 8260; and
• LUFT (waste oil) metals (Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Zn) in accordance with EPA Methods 6010 and
7000.
4005 North Wlkon Wa%.
