Box 705
Vernalis, CA 95385
RE: Percolation test, Bogetti Property
MS-87-40
The percolation test run by Kleinfelder & Associates on May 20, 1987 at the above
referenced property did not meet minimum Health District regulations as it was less
than minimum requirements of 60 minutes per inch percolation per hour. The rate
was 96 minutes per inch, far above county standards.
You have the following alternatives:
1. Run another percolation test on the same parcels in a more suitable
area that would meet county requirements.
2. Provide an engineer designed alternative sewage disposal system.
3. Re-locate parcel A to another area of Parcel B and run a percolation
test that meets minimum requirements
Approval of the final map will be withheld until a suitable percolation test can be
obtained or an alternative design is submitted and approved by this District.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, contact Fred Kaufman, Supervising
Sanitarian, of my staff at (209) 466-6781, extention 35.
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H.
District Health Officer
Ron Valinoti , Acting Director
Environmental Health Division
RLV/FK:dc
cc: Kleinfelder & Associates
Louis Perez, Public Works
