Main St., Manteca Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS 1,CLASS 11,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> ROUTINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR INSPECTION <br /> Class II violations: (8, 20, 50) <br /> 8. This facility's EPA ID number is inactive. A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose <br /> of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without an EPA ID number. Immediately <br /> contact DTSC and reactivate your EPA ID number and submit evidence to the EHD by June 23, 2011. <br /> A form has been provided. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 20. A 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste was observed behind the facility with out a label. Another 55 <br /> gallon drum of hazardous waste was observed behind the facility with a hazardous waste label that the <br /> handwritten ink has faded away. According to Ms. Kaur, one of the containers is for liquids and the <br /> other is for absorbents and other solids. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the <br /> following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 50. The two hazardous waste containers on site were not labeled with accumulation start dates. No <br /> disposal records were available on site. According to Ms. Kaur, they have been using these hazardous <br /> waste containers for disposal for greater than 180 days and they have not had any disposal for the last 3 <br /> years. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed <br /> 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately <br /> contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br /> the manifest to the EHD by June 23, 2011. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (15, 23, 85) <br /> 15. The routine maintenance inspection for the fire extinguishers was last conducted in March 2010. <br /> The fire extinguisher on the fuel island indicates that it needs to be recharged.
