Kettleman Lane
Lodi, California
WIC 204-4416-0202
r
Dear Ms. Lagorio: +G
Enviros, Inc. (Enviros) has prepared this Work Plan describing activities to be performed
during the removal and replacement of underground stor,'age tanks (USTs) at the above
referenced location (Plates 1 and 2). Environmental work willbe performed to comply
with appropriate Regional Water Quality Control Board°and San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) guidelines.
i
Site Description
The site is an active retail gasoline service station located on the southeast corner of
Kettleman Lane and Hutchins Road in a commercial area of Llodi (Plates 1 and 2} The
existing facilities include a station building with car wash facility, five dispenser islands,
and three underground storage tanks.
Background
li
In September 1989, Aegis Environmental (Aegis) drilled 15 soil borings in preparation for
a proposed tank replacement project. These boring locations are presented on Figure 2
(prepared by Aegis). Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons calculated as Gasoline (TPH-G) was
detected in Boring B-8 at a concentration of 1060 parts per million (ppm)_ All other
borings were non-detect (ND) for petroleum hydrocarbons with the exception of trace
levels of toluene and xylenes in Boring B-1, B-7, and B-9. The results of this
investigation are documented in Aegis' October 16, 1989 "Pre-Tank Replacement Site
Assessment Results Report."
In October 1990, Aegis installed Wells MW-1, MW-2,and MW-3. Soil and ground water
samples collected from these well borings were ND for TPH and BTEX. The results of
this investigation are documented in Aegis' March 26, 1991 "Site Assessment/Monitoring
Well Installation Results Report."
In August 1995, Fugro drilled Boring B-17 and installed Well MW-4. TPH-G and BTEX
were ND in soil samples collected from these borings.
i
ii
1
i
Enviros, lnc. 270 Perkins Slreet Sonoma, Cnlifornia
P.O.
