(Cambria) pri epared this work plan on behalf of <br /> Equiva Services LLC in response to the July 22, 1999 San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> i Services Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS/EHD) letter requesting additional <br /> investigation at the above referenced site. The purpose of this investigation is to further <br /> delineate the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) in soil beneath the site. The scope of work prel ented:in this work plan will comply <br /> with SJCPHS/EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> guidelines. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description: The subject site is located on the southeast corner of Hutchins Street and <br /> West Kettleman Lane in a primarily commercial area oflLodi,.California (Plate 1). The site <br /> layout includes a station building, five dispenser islands, and an' underground fuel storage tank <br /> F <br /> (UST) complex (Plate 2). <br /> I <br /> Previous Investigations: In September 1989, Aegis Environmental (Aegis) drilled 15 soil <br /> Oakland, CA <br /> Sonoma, CA borings in preparation for a proposed tank replacement project. Total .purgeable petroleum <br /> Portland, OR hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline (TPPH) was detected in boring B-8 at a concentration of <br /> Seattle, WA 1060 .parts per million (ppm). Petroleum hydrocarbons were riot detected (ND) in the other <br /> borings with the exception of trace concentrations of toluene and xylenes in borings B-1, <br /> Cambria <br /> i Environmental B-7, and B-9. The results of this investigation are documented in Aegis' October 16, 1989 <br /> Technology,Inc.
