(Cambria) prepared this work plan on behalf of <br /> Equiva.Services LLC in response to the July 22, 1999 .San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS%EHD) letter requesting additional <br /> investigation at the above referenced site. The_ purpose of this investigation is to further <br /> delineate the vertical extent of petroleum. hydrocarbons"and methyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> .(MTBE) in soil beneath the site. The scope of work presented.in this work plan will comply <br /> with SJCPHS/EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> guidelines. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description: The subject site is located -on the southeast corner of Hutchins Street and. <br /> West Kettleman Lane in a primarily commercial,area of Lodi-, California (Plate 1). The site <br /> layout includes a station building, fivedispenser. islands,;'and an'.underground-fuel storage tank <br /> (UST) complex (Plate 2)':. <br /> Previous Investigations: In Septeiiiber. 1989,. Aegis Environmental (Aegis) drilled 15 soil <br /> E Oakland, CA <br /> I <br /> Sonoma, CA borings in preparation for a proposed,tank replacement`project. Total purgeable petroleum <br /> I{ P o r t I a n d, OR hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline (TPPH) was detected in boring B-8 at a concentration of <br /> Seattle, WA 1060 parts per million (ppm). Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected (ND) in the other <br /> Cambria <br /> borings with the exception of trace -concentrations of toluene and xylenes in borings B-1, <br /> Environmental B-7, and B-9.
