U
CAM :BRIA
A Horiba hexa J-series hydrocarbon analyzer, calibrated to iso-butylene, will be used to field
measure hydrocarbon concentrations in the extracted vapor stream. A TSI model 8330 air
velocity meter will be used to measure vapor extraction velocity rates and temperature. A
Thomas Industries vacuum pump will be used to collect the vapor samples. Vapor samples will
be collected in one-liter Tedlar bags for laboratory analysis. Magnehelic differential pressure
gauges will be used to measure the vacuum applied at the wellhead and induced in nearby wells.
Confirmation Borings/Additional SVE wells: Based on the final SVE test results, either
confirmation borings or additional SVE wells will be advanced. Confirmation borings would be
drilled adjacent to previous boring locations to assess residual hydrocarbon and methyl tertiary
butyl ether(MTBE)in soil. Soil sampling will be conducted as described above.
Chemical Analyses: Selected soil samples will be'analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline(TPHg)by EPA Method 8015 (Modified) or equivalent, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,
and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020 or equivalent, and fuel oxygenates (MTBE, tertiary
butanol, ethyl tertiary butyl ether, diisopropyl ether, and tertiary amyl methyl ether) by EPA
Method 8260. Selected vapor samples will be analyzed for.TPHg,BTEX, and MTBE.
Report Preparation: Following the receipt of analytical results from the laboratory, Cambria
will prepare a written report which will include field procedures, laboratory results, SVE test
findings,boring logs,conclusions,and recommendations.
The scope of work described in this work plan will be performed under the supervision of a
registered geologist or professional engineer.
G
1346 3
