<br /> We have reviewed the 18 February 2003 Response to RWQCB Letter Dated January 22, 2003 (Letter)
<br /> submitted on behalf of ConocoPhillips (CP) and Chevron Environmental Management Company
<br /> (Chevron) for the portion of the South Shore Parcels managed by the L&M Operable Unit. The Letter
<br /> responds to five comments in Board staff's 22 January 2003 letter regarding the proposal to conduct an
<br /> additional five days of the dual phase extraction(DPE) test. We have no additional comments on the
<br /> Letter.
<br /> By 23 May 2003, please submit an investigation report detailing the field activities associated with the
<br /> DPE test,including radius of influence, estimation of mass removed, and a determination of whether DPE
<br /> as a suitable remedial alternative for the site. CP and Chevron need to notify the nearby residents and
<br /> businesses of the upcoming field work, as discussed in our 2 December 2002 meeting. If you have any
