Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201 !
i
Subject: Shell Service Station
420 W. Kettleman
Lodi , California a
I
Dear Mr. Knoll : 1
On March 7, 1988 Hunter Environmental Services, Inc. performed a full
system leak locator test at the subject service station.
At the start of the test, it was immediately determined that the SU2000
and the RU 2000 products had a possible leak. Further testing determined
that the leaks were in the vent or vapor pipe l.ines;land that the product
pipe and tanks were tight.
Triangle, Inc. of Sacramento was then called in toi! locate the possible
leak location and to make necessary repairs. It was determined that the
leaks were loose caps at the former tank gauging 1ocation. These caps
were removed and plugged. There was also a tank: vent pipe that had 1
reverse slope, causing a product trap. Thts was corrected and the
systems prepared for a retest.
; l
The re-test was performed by Hunter Environmental Services, Inc. on April
12, 1988 and all systems checked tight.
i
The amount of contamination was noted to be negligible as the testing
company lost less than one-half gallon of product ;;when the leaks were !
discovered.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call Mr. H.
J.
